We, Margit and Ove Thomsen together with Sönnje Jansen and Ralph Speer, are looking forward to being your host. We will personally care for your well-being to make your holidays an unforgettable experience.

Margit Thomsen (Bachelor professional of hotel management CCI), the heart and soul of our hotel, serves a rich and fresh breakfast with creative jam variations and organizes the operational processes within our hotel. She is a passionate cyclist anf likes the island of Sylt, so she can give you great advises for day trips as well as she lays the foundation for a nice feast while planing the menu with you.

The native "Frisian guy" Ove Thomsen will be delighted to advise you on day trips through his Frisian homeland and to make you familiar with the Nordic way of live. He also is the controller and master of business administration and makes fair prices and good offers.

Ralph Speer (Bachelor professional of hotel management CCI) did his trainee here in 2006. He then workes in other hotels and on board cruise ship MV EUROPA and returned in 2011. Now he is mainly in charge of the reception and the housekeeping. He tries to fulfill the wishes of "his guests" immediately. 

Sönnje Jansen is in charge of our restaurant and cares for the well-being of our guests in the restaurant "Abendrot" and at the celebrations in our banqueting area. Not only does she take care of the well-being of all native guests and from the hotel, but she also makes all the necessary orders that keep the restaurant "running", as well as the creation of menus and menu cards. As a recognized trainer, she enjoys working with "her" trainees.

That your stay in our hotel and the SPA Rosenburg at the North Frisian coast will be something really special can already be guessed from the name "rose". The rose is a symbol of everything we offer our guests: Cosiness, pleasure and indulgence - all offered with a passionate service.

We are a big "family". Our community - 15 hotel clerks and chefs and also 7 trainees - is a well-balanced team of "pampering specialists" who will arrange your holidays with love and a personal touch. The warm care for our guests, our loving attention to detail and the ability to anticipate every wish of our guests, but also the  various aspects of hotel management, from organisation through to the planning of arrangements, are important parts of our business. Hotel & SPA Rosenburg – evolution from the ancient "Utspann" (a pub used as a place to change horses) to a well-being hotel

Why, actually, is the name of our hotel "Rosenburg"? According to some stories, the former public house, built in 1877, was located near a big field of roses. This is why the name "Rosenburg" was registered as a plot name.

For 20 years, the Hotel & Spa Rosenburg in Husum has been known for its warm and personal hospitality.

With typical Nordic persistence, the owners, Margit and Ove Thomsen, keep driving the development of the hotel forward, focusing on culinary art and wellness. Their aim is to create a feeling of "coming home" and to keep the hectic pace of everyday life away from you.

When the hotel Rosenburg with its restaurant was taken over in 1993, it had 15 rooms that were rented out. Since 2009, Margit and Ove Thomsen have jointly been running the hotel, extending its capacities during the following year to now  31 rooms.

This is how the former inn, during the past years, developed into a well-being hotel with modern rooms. In 2012, the comfortable wellness oasis RosenSPA was opened, offering the guests a timeout from the stress of everyday life.
